What is scrapbooking?
It's been said that a photo album shows pictures... a scrapbook tells a story. If anyone were to look at your photo album, they would probably ask you a lot of questions. Who's this? Where are you? When is this? If you were to look at my scrapbook, all of the questions you may have are already answered on the page. See, it's not just pictures on a page, there's journaling (to tell the story), embellishments that go with the photos, and whatever else you need to go with the photos... like ticket stubs from a concert. Scrapbooks are your life story, as only you can tell it.

What are some of "the basic supplies"?
Basic supplies (like what you would bring to a class) would include a paper trimmer, scissors, adhesieve (wet and dry), markers (although not required for our classes), and a bone folder for card making. Other things that I find quite useful for everyone is a corner rounding punch, a good set of alphabet stamps, some sort of cutting system (like Coluzzle or Sizzix), ink pads (stamps not required!) and some sort of wet embellishement like Stickles or Glossy Accents.

Do you offer classes at Scrapaholics?
YES! We offer a very wide range of classes here! Our classes are all technique based too which means that, while you may be making a layout in your class, there will be some sort of cool, new technique that you will then be able to apply to other projects that you create later. We have layout classes, mini albums, card making, basic scrapbooking and stamping... the list goes on. We also host crops (where you bring your own projects and work on them... kind of like a social gathering with no instructor), and parties for kids and adults!

Do you make custom albums?
YES! We are always happy to create one of a kind albums for people. We have made many here... for Weddings, Bat Mitzvahs, gifts, even for businesses! For more information on custom albums, please give us a call at 516-483-3745.

Yes! We have sample books from Carlson Craft and Tag & Company. There is a huge range to choose from! Baby, Wedding, Bar/Bat Mitvah, Save the Dates, Sweet 16, BBQ, Spa Day...etc.
